If you love Cyprus and you love food, you will really enjoy dining in Protaras, Cyprus, one of the best family resorts on the island. With virtually every type of restaurant you could wish for, there is sure to be something for your particular taste when dining in Protaras, Cyprus. Children and adults alike are more than amply catered for no matter what their favorite dishes are. Most tourists like nothing more than to shower after a hard day relaxing in the sun and get dressed for a walk followed by dinner on the Strip. The good news is that if you have been lucky enough to book your Protaras holiday, you are in for a real treat.
Before you even consider dinner, there are some great bars serving snacks, main meals and most importantly the excellent English fry ups. If you love bacon and eggs, you may have landed in fried breakfast heaven. It has a lot to do with the strong English influence on the island dating back to the time of British colonization. In fact, there are still several British military bases in Cyprus to this day. But less about the history and more about the food. Although there are some great places to make a great full breakfast, I can of course only recommend the ones I’ve tried myself. These include Cheers, on the strip and on the main road, past the Sphinx bar, Steen’s restaurant and Malima bar.
It’s always a good idea to take a leisurely stroll down the strip first to compare prices because there’s a lot of competition for your euros when dining out in Protaras, Cyprus. Be careful with the drinks because although some of the breakfasts are reasonably priced, the bill may soon add up because of those teas and coffees. Some places like the Malima include the drinks in the price and even offer “refills” so you know where you are even before the bill arrives. Of course, there are plenty of other great places that serve fantastic English, but the test of the pudding (or breakfast) is, as they say, eating.
Dining out in Protaras, Cyprus is always a treat and with so many restaurants and bars vying to take your hard-earned money, high standards are virtually guaranteed wherever you decide to eat. There are some really nice places that cater to families with all the usual burgers and fries to the more upscale places that are great for romantic dinners or special occasions. The premier pièce de résistance must surely be the Eden Square development at the center of the complex. This luxury development has a modern bar with entertainment as well as Japanese, Italian and Mexican restaurants of the highest level. There is ample parking to the rear and a soft play area for young children as well. Wherever you decide to eat, you are sure to enjoy dining in Protaras, Cyprus.
