My home, an eclectic sanctuary

Warm and inviting, designed with an obsession for old world elements and ancient architecture, my home is an eclectic sanctuary that gives me peace and tranquility, growing with me as a dimension of my personality Entrance doors are ancient doors from India , filled with lush river patina and sky blue hues, hand-carved with lotus and chakra carvings, connect me to my roots. The vintage carved barn doors that I have used throughout the house have an old bohemian feel to it, bringing a feel of the traditional elements that I grew up with. The sliding barn doors line the hallway that has a collection of my treasures and artifacts playing with the potted plants and lush foliage. The feel is deeply ingrained, a romance of antique woods and natural handcrafted furniture.

I don’t follow any rules, never did and never will, my spirit is my guide. The hallway leads to the living room, where I used a double-sided triple arch to create visual depth and splendor. On both sides I have magnificent wall sculptures of Krishna and Buddha that bring with them beautiful energies. When I enter the living room, the carved sofa is upholstered in royal blue velvet and silk pillows, the ocean blues and bright open sky give me clarity and open my mind, bringing the soft sky blue like on the coffee table. vintage. and the sparkling navy blue on the sideboard, the aura is magical and very comforting.

I work from home and practically in any room, so I have cozy corners with consoles or high tables that double as desks. My office / study / mediation room is where I go to relax and I want to light the fires of creativity. The walls are lined with antique arches and doors that I have converted into bookcases and my desk is made from an old Indian door. Each piece of furniture has a purpose and a story. The patianos and carvings whisper the stories and are wonderfully ingrained. My altar is housed in a cabinet in the office and is adorned with deities, spirit carvings, crystals, and sacred geometry. But on the days when I want to hear the wind or experience the magic of nature, I sit on my Indian swing on the balcony.

My room is opulent in comfort and design, I spared no effort to create a gorgeous headboard from an antique patinated wood door and hung the door panels on the sides to get the king size width. The open door in the center frames a painting of the forest and mountains that reminds me that I am one with the earth. Peaceful and grand, my bedroom is an oasis of beautiful dreams and my sanctuary.
