Ashok Leyland’s Amazing Vehicles

Based in Chennai, Ashok Leyland is a reputed Indian commercial car manufacturing organization. It is the second largest in this segment. It is also among the world’s top vehicle-producing companies, ranking fourth in bus manufacturing and 16th in truck production. In coalition with Nissan Motors, Ashok Leyland has also entered the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) segment.

The organization has several manufacturing units in India, as well as in other parts of the world, including Europe and the Middle East. In India it has units in Ennore, Hosur, Alwar, Bhandara, Pantnagar and Sengadu Village. It also has a technical center at Vellivoyalchavadi near Chennai.

Buses: The Company manufactures buses of various sizes. From those with 18 seats to those with 80 seats, there are many options available for the search for the comfort of users. Buyers can choose from various buses such as city, suburban, intercity, school and staff buses, special buses and more. Trucks: The ace automaker produces some of the best trucks available today. It manufactures long-haul and distribution trucks, as well as those used for construction and mining purposes. Light Vehicles: In a joint venture with Nissan, Ashok Leyland produces some of the most modern light vehicles. The models are as stylish as their names: DOST, PARTNER, STILE and MiTR. DOST is a fuel efficient SCV with a payload of 1.25 tons. With a payload of 4 tons, PARTNER is revered for its comfort and superior mileage. STILE is a minivan that comes with a solid dCi mill. MiTR is an advanced 27-seater LCV bus.

Defense Vehicles: From field artillery tractors and light recovery vehicles to rapid intervention vehicles and from water tankers and fire trucks to fuel dispensers, Ashok Leyland is the proud supplier of defense vehicles to the Indian Army. These vehicles are built on the SUPER STALLION & COLT platform and make the organization the largest supplier of logistics vehicles to the Army.
