Refrain from using darker colors as paint or material, as they make a room appear smaller.
Use smarter appliances that look fancy and put your oven and stove in the same area. This would leave you with an additional area of counter space. Also, install microwaves in the cabinets for the same purpose. Take advantage of natural and additional lighting. Natural sunlight will help expand the space visually and, when paired with greenhouse windows, can do wonders not only as a room complement, but also as a workspace.
Another important tip would be to use the wall space in a balanced proportion. If something can be hung properly, make sure it is. But don’t use most of your walls, as that would make the kitchen look like it’s ready to fall apart at any moment.
If possible, use other rooms in your home for storage, as the more you store, the more extensive the kitchen will look. To make it appear larger and less busy, it’s empirical that the kitchen be clean with extra utensils and other appliances out of the way.
