Although we live in a world where immorality is sold for a penny and all kinds of sexual perversions are on the rise and there seems to be no savior, we can still advise ourselves on best moral practices, especially for young singles. Masturbation between single people can lead to sin either in thought or in action. Isn’t it better to be safe than sorry? Well, the honest fact is this: for those who fear God, some pleasure should be reserved for marital indulgence.
Many young singles today are wallowing in the pains of this dirty deal out of ignorance, but they don’t know how to come out of the closet. It hurts when I see young people (single people) who are supposed to be on fire for God committing immorality or acts capable of leading to sin. “Remember now your creator in the days of your youth …” says the preacher.
Masturbation consists of giving up (or practicing) sexual pleasure by stroking the genitals, usually until orgasm. The problem here is that many young single Christians are now indulging in masturbation as well.
As pleasant as it may seem, it has a terrible psychological effect that can lead to sin. Worse still, masturbation becomes very complicated for those involved in their dirty act outside or before marriage. In fact, breaking out of this immoral bondage is extremely difficult for those who have been ignorantly drawn into it, perhaps for deity medical reasons.
But I have good news for you, here is a way out. You should read and endeavor to apply all the antidotes detailed in this article.
1. Decide that you want to get out of this mess.
2. You should stay away from any pornographic material like movies, magazines, etc. Anything that can awaken your sexual feelings within you. 1 Corinthians 6:18.
3. Every form of sexual act begins in the mind, so you must keep your mind occupied with good creative thoughts, since you know that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Kindly keep your mind burning for God and He will soon calm you down.
4. Since masturbation begins with the mind, you need to renew your mind with the scriptures. Romans 12: 1-2.
5. Forget about friends who may draw you into lustful thoughts. 2 Corinth 6: 14-17
6. Avoid immoral arguments. James 3: 2-7.
7. Seek guidance and advice on the subject if it is difficult.
Masturbation between single youth with a heavenly conscience is unhealthy, harmful, unhealthy, and sinful. God does not smile at those who indulge in acts that lead to sin for whatever reason. You could say ‘oh, I masturbate because it satisfies my sex drive so I’m not going to sleep.’ Sin is sin in the eyes of God and it is against scripture.
“Mortify therefore your member that is on earth: fornication, uncleanness, excessive affection, evil lust, which is idolatry” Colossians 3: 5.
The word ‘filth’ in that context means all forms of sexual perversions such as masturbation, oral sex, etc.
