The die is cast?

The rapidly expanding inflationary trend in all consumer products has left a bitter pill to swallow for millions of Americans due to the government’s failure to protect and serve all Americans. The incompetence of our Federal Government has shown very little sympathy in the actions taken not only to prevent this medical health crisis but in the responses to it.

Now, the American public is facing a growing financial and economic crisis as well as recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic. The current Administration has made it clear that vaccines are necessary to further ensure that we recover from this pandemic. For this, the Administration has authorized the mandatory nature of a vaccine that is actually an experimental drug. This has only exacerbated the growing divisions in an already divided nation. The forced mandates of an experimental drug have only created many of the current crises that are now occurring.

This is just part of the moment the United States is facing. For decades, the United States has depended on foreign imports to maintain our economic structure. We gave up our economic dominance in favor of corporate profits 40 years ago. This has had profound effects for all Americans. Over the last 40 years, most Americans have seen a steady decline in wages compared to the rising cost of living. Disposable income has never kept pace since then.

Today’s reality is a combination of past political failures, the greed of corporate America, the systematic decline of our educational system, and the reluctance of many American citizens to realize what our government has actually done and is doing. . Over the last 50 years, our education system has regressed to the point where our elected officials are a mirror image of many of our voters. As a result, this is what has happened to the Republican Party and even much of the Democratic Party. The fundamental belief today is that many still think government responses have been in the best interest of the American public. This claim is based on an illusion conceived and concealed by opportunities that have been allowed to occur. It is very evident that these opportunities have fostered many of the imbalances in our current society. They have also made it possible for the government to circumvent the public will on too many occasions.

The die is cast. The epicenter of the nation’s problems lies in a government in which too many elected officials have neither the wherewithal nor the inclination to produce political directives that combine to achieve balance in our society. The overwhelming discord of many in government has only produced more frustration and agony for millions of Americans.

When President Lincoln spoke of “A nation divided against itself cannot stand” it was not only a warning during our nation’s darkest hour, the Civil War, but it has merit today. When we have the polarization of political parties where it was not compromised neither in the equation nor on the table, the antagonistic rhetoric of both the Republicans and the Democrats has continued to fester the open wounds of our society.

There is a way to heal this nation and it starts with education about what our government has done in the past. The missing pages of American history are filled with events that have left recurring stigmas on the American public. Once we realize this and rectify what our government did, it is a start to restore balance in our society. There has to be a uniform plan of direction for this nation. A roadmap for long-term stability and prosperity for all Americans must be a priority. Something this nation hasn’t had since John F. Kennedy. To that end, by educating the American public about the feasibility and durability of implementing the Ten Articles of Confederation of National Economic Reform, policy changes will occur that will unify the deep divisions in our country.
