Just like Sri Lanka’s Ploy against Ricky Ponting’s team in the Super 8 World Cup, Team India’s Selection is also following a hidden agenda.
First consider these facts:
- Isn’t it a fact that the United States is way ahead in terms of sports? Isn’t it a fact that Americans are fans of their teams (as are European nations too)? or even soccer.
So at some point in 1980-90, a strategy was formed. A police chief was chosen for the task. The task was simple.
The Indians were too emotionally attached to their hockey. This police chief was commendable for the way in which he eliminated terrorism from Punjab. His next task was even more difficult. And no one was to know the purpose of the mission (at least until the mission was successful). Today, he succeeds in his task. And the task was: to put an end to hockey from the minds of the Indians. It usually takes 20 years after the last win to erase a sport from people’s minds. And if you look now, nobody gets excited talking about hockey. And full marks to the police chief that he didn’t brag to the media about his success. Since his mission was to free people’s minds so they can go back to work and make India focus on work.
But there was a problem. A Haryanvi lad around the same time, despite the government’s best efforts to make sloppy teams (well, they were called ghavri, binny and mohinder pacers), won the World Cup. Well, Team India (the one who drives India to work) did not lose hope. They installed a battery of people (the matrix) to destroy this new game. And years later, they have achieved the same success. Today, cricket has become empty verbiage (like garibi hatao or even population issue) and is expected to die very soon. Still, the matrix is not taking any chances. He has this game under his crushing sway, but his eye is on the lookout for any other devious game that tries to rear its head.
