2. Next, you need to choose a flat surface, lightly press the tip of the chalk, and then release it. Don’t press it for more than a second. You may want to keep repeating this step until the tip of the chalk is full of ink. Usually it can take between 20 and 40 pumps. Just be careful not to damage the tip of the marker.
